Today, Corethree – Europe’s leading mobile ticketing and data insights provider – announced it has partnered with Aircoach – Ireland’s leading private bus and coach operator – to bring mobile ticketing technology across bus routes in the Republic of Ireland. The partnership marks Corethree’s entrance into the southern Irish market and will enable passengers to benefit from the best possible travel experience and targeted promotions.

Part of the First Bus family, one of the UK’s largest bus operators, Aircoach provides high quality, frequently scheduled services to and from Cork and Belfast cities to Dublin City Centre and Dublin Airport. It is the only bus company in Ireland providing a 24-hour service with a modern fleet comprising 67 buses and coaches. The new Aircoach mobile ticketing app, which is designed, developed and operated by Corethree, enables customers to pre-purchase mobile tickets in advance, benefit from opted-in data-driven promotions such as discounts for frequent travellers, from within a passenger’s own mobile device.

“We are excited to be the first bus company in the Republic of Ireland to offer our customers the convenience and faster boarding associated with mobile tickets,”
said Dervla McKay, Managing Director Aircoach.
“Our new mobile Tickets app is about much more than being able to offer different ticket purchasing options. As an industry-leader in technology innovation, we recognise that our app will be a powerful additional channel for engaging with customers, allowing us to streamline costs and provide more efficient services. We are looking forward to working with Corethree to develop relevant, personalised and timely promotions based on a true knowledge of what our customers want.”

Ashley Murdoch, CEO of Corethree, said: “Aircoach is an innovative business that continues to break new ground with its new m-ticketing capability. We are very pleased to be partnering with such a forward-looking company as we make our debut in the Republic of Ireland’s mobile-data technology market. Mobile ticketing apps are one of the most powerful ways to connect with customers as they enable immediate and direct communication, and we are expert at helping our partners engage with users in this way to help them deliver the best possible experience.”
